List of Casinos in Atlantic City

They don’t have a sportsbook in the casino, however, they do offer an online option. They have the most amount of celebrity chef restaurants, including choices from Bobby Flay, Wolfgang Puck and Michael Simon. The last time we stayed there, we had a minor issue with one of our comps, so we went to their front desk to ask about it. After spending countless hours analyzing these properties and observing thousands of players enjoying their Atlantic City experiences, I’ve identified four casinos that consistently deliver exceptional value, entertainment, and hospitality. What began with a single casino has grown into nine world-class gaming resorts, each offering unique experiences that cater to every type of player.
The nicest rooms are in the Havana, North and South Towers. They also have a really great Christmas light show during the holiday season. Although they don’t have a big concert venue, the live entertainment inside the lounges is really good.
Once you get the card, you’ll have to scan it on one of their kiosks to select what comps you want (again, long lines for these). You’ll need a player’s card, which you’ll have to stand in a long line to get. There is no organized poker room, but they do have a really nice sportsbook in the casino. Unlike some of the other trusted casinos in Las Vegas that are very lively and filled with people, Ocean can feel a bit dead and boring at times. If you want to grab a late-night bite to eat, you’ll have a hard time here. During busy times, the front desk can be a bit chaotic, but they really try their best to please you and make sure you’re having a good time.
Owners changed hands multiple times before the doors were opened, but when building construction was completed, Ocean became the second-tallest casino in the U.S., trailing only The STRAT in Las Vegas. If the electronic scene is more to your liking, you’ll also find more than 5,500 slot and video poker machines at your disposal. Harrah’s Atlantic City is located in the marina district, away from the beach and the Boardwalk, and was the first Atlantic City casino to open in the district, first welcoming players in November 1980. Hard Rock Casino showcases more than 2,300 slots and upwards of 130 table games, as well as a section for Asian table games like baccarat, pai gow, and Asian poker. Borgata hosts daily World Series of Poker tournaments and high-stakes games, and it runs its own sportsbook (Race & Sports Book) for those looking to make a sports wager. On the gaming side, you’ll find a 161,000-square-foot casino floor covering virtually every casino game you can think of.
The drink service is okay, but the comps here are horrible and not worth the trouble. Resorts has a decent variety of slots and table games. The nicest area of this casino is Margaritaville and the outdoor bar, but other than that, the atmosphere here isn’t very lively. The rooms can be noisy and will sometimes smell like pot.
Bally's Atlantic City, timeless charm meeting modern innovation. Christie had actually vetoed similar legislation two times before finally signing it into law. The Hard Rock casino also opened in 2018, taking the spot vacated by the long-closed Trump Taj Mahal, and today nine retail locations remain open for business on the Boardwalk and in the Marina District. But the openings of both the Hard Rock and Ocean Casino Resort in 2018 brought that total back up to nine where it remains today. There are currently nine casinos with retail sportsbooks in Atlantic City up and running. You’ll find a similar selection of real money online casino games you can play at the many different sites available in the state.
The atmosphere at Harrah’s is very pretty and Vegas-esque. If you’re looking for a nightclub atmosphere, check out Daer nightclub or Scores Gentlemen’s Club. Council Oak and Robert’s Steakhouse are the clear standout restaurants here. The lines tend to be long, especially during busy times, but overall, the staff is accommodating. Through their Wild Card Rewards program, you can earn comp dollars for free slot and table game play and $10 parking. The comps here are decent but not as good as some of the other Atlantic City casinos.
Renowned for guest satisfaction, Ocean Casino’s modern design and oceanfront location are standout features that attract visitors. This stunning 710-foot tower offers breathtaking ocean views and modern amenities. Guests praise Borgata’s comprehensive offerings and exceptional service, making it the go-to destination for serious players. Each casino brings unique strengths to the table, creating a competitive landscape that benefits every visitor. From high-roller suites overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to penny slots welcoming casual visitors, Atlantic City’s modern casinos represent billions of dollars in investment and decades of refinement.
Caesars is on the Boardwalk, a middle-tier resort with more than a dozen restaurants, two showrooms, and another gaming venue, Wild Wild West, on its lower level. The casino features a huge poker room (by far the biggest in AC), over 2,500 slots, and more than 150 table games. Located in the Marina District, Borgata is the flagship casino of Atlantic City, a luxury resort destination with more than a dozen restaurants. Its hotel is perfect for budget-minded travelers, with a number of nightlife options including live entertainment Bally’s Showroom and The Yard for drinks and dancing. Bally’s is on the Boardwalk and the casino boasts over 1,100 slots and about 80 table games. Here is a brief rundown of what you’ll find at each of the nine casinos in Atlantic City. Must be 21+ and present in MI or NJ to play.
