Applying for a Laos e-Visa for Indian Citizens
Indian citizens planning to visit Laos must obtain a Laos e-Visa before departure, as a visa is required for tourism and short-term stays. The e-Visa is an electronic travel authorization that you apply for entirely online before your trip, avoiding the need to visit an embassy.
To apply, you’ll need a valid Indian passport (with at least six months’ validity from your planned arrival), a recent passport-style photo, and basic personal and travel details. Submit these through the official Laos e-Visa portal, pay the fee, and once approved (usually within a few business days), the e-Visa is emailed to you and electronically linked to your passport.
With an approved Laos e-Visa, Indian travelers can enter Laos through designated airports and land border checkpoints and enjoy a smooth arrival process while exploring the country’s scenic landscapes, culture, and historic sites.
